Philosophy on Skill Development

Coach Justin Anderson believes teaching fundamentals is absolutely crucial to the success of any basketball player and basketball program. Skill development is all about improving a player’s fundamental skills:

  • Shooting
  • Ball handling
  • Passing
  • Moving without the ball
  • Moving within the offense
  • Making sound decisions
  • Footwork both on offense and on defense

When it comes to the skill development playbook, Coach Anderson believes it is imperative a player be able to learn the skill, apply the skill, and take the application of the skill to a competitive environment.

He has an old school mentality. Once any player walks on the court, he or she must be ready to work hard. He looks forward to the opportunity to help any player who has a strong desire, commitment and work ethic to elevate his or her game to the next level.
